Today I saw a pigeon hopping around on only one foot. At first I felt bad because of its disability. Then I saw it soar away, as majestically as possible for a humble pigeon. That’s when I remembered that we are stronger than we think. Sure, we all have things we wish we could change about ourselves. Bad things happen that are out of our control. But we can rise above them. Our weaknesses and downfalls only make our strengths stronger.
« Il ne faut jalouser personne ; car les hommes de bien ne méritent pas d’être jalousés, et les hommes mauvais, plus leur fortune est bonne, plus ils se corrompent eux-mêmes. » - Epicure
(Don’t be jealous of anyone: for good men do not deserve our jealousy; and with evil men, the grander their fortune, the more evil they become.)
